Stock Yards Fort Worth Texas

The Fort Worth Texas look when you visit the Stock Yards The City Building in downtown Fort Worth

We had a great experience visiting the stock yards in Fort Worth.

We felt like we had gone home and Grandpa Don was moving the cattle around getting ready to go out on the Mesa.

His herd could be driven here to Fort Worth and loaded on the Rail

Sister Nelson really felt right at home.

Here is one of the local cowboys

Strolling up Market Street.

For a little minute I thought it was Stan Hardy. Maybe he could ride dolly down and trail Frosty and we could hire on here at the Stock Yards in Fort Worth

It is a local attraction to be sure. I believe Dustin and Lauren will enjoy a visit here.

Come on they have a Rodeo as well.

Well in 16 months maybe they will need some help at the Stock Yards.

Christmas breakfast at the Nelson's

Sister Nelson and I will never forget Christmas 2009 in Dallas, Texas Our Christmas Morning consisted of the Sisters and the Phelps
This is the other couple we work with at the Employment Center

The Sister's attend the Spanish branch that is in the same building as the Dallas 6th ward that we attend.

Sister Brooksby on the left from Las Vegas and sister Barber from St George, Utah

Sharing stories after Breakfast.

Elder Phelps said now What are you doing with the camera?

A wonderful morning and good folks to share it with.

Sister Nelson gets along so well with the sisters.

Sister Brooksby graduated from Bonanza High School. Sister Nelson helped her at the temple on Wed night before we left. They met at the MTC in the Choir. They both came to Dallas and we are assigned to the same ward building. They live near by us. All that is just a coincidence?

Yes it was a White Christmas in Dallas.

The Calm after the storm this morning,

What great experience we have! God bless the great work!

Christmas Eve

We were able to spend the Evening with the Shawn & Kim Marshall Heaton family. These were the wise men in the pageant. Elders serving in the Bedford area and a friend. Kim Marshall Heaton as beautiful as she was in the high school 1977

Our wonderful Friend Sandee Marshall flew down to be with daughter Kim here in Texas

Hey don't we go from house to house? ? ?

What are the chances you would meet a former student in Bedford Texas?

Sister Nelson and Sandee have always enjoyed a great friendship over the years.

Sister Nelson played while we sang Carols after the Best Christmas pageant ever!

We came to Carrollton Texas to have a White Christmas. Sister Nelson opened her present so she could wear it out to the Christmas eve program

Sister Sandee and her beautiful grand-daughter Callie

Dealey Plaza

A Thursday visit to The Dallas Book Depository where Oswald shot President Kennedy . The shot came from the 6th floor where Lee Harvey Oswald was hiding with his 6.5 mm weapon. He had purchased the weapon for $12.50 2 weeks before.
The Dallas Texas Court house.

The assassination took place here on Elm street.

The X is where the first bullet struck President John F Kennedy

It was snowing the day before Christmas. The folks all told us this just didn't happen.

Elder Nelson pointing to the grassy Knoll where the real gunman was located.

Here we are in the heart of Dealey Plaza

The most enjoyable Museum ever. After teaching about this event for many years it was great to visit in person and take the tour and visit the grassy knoll. I hope we can go back to the 6th floor sometime.
