Dear Loved Ones,
Yet another report from Texas. We have had a busy, good week. We had Monday off for the 4th, so the rest of the week was very busy at the Center, especially Tuesday. We have some regulars coming in and then quite a few new ones too.
Tuesday evening we had our piano class. It was great to have 6 keyboards sent from the Harmon grant to actually have ‘real’, well pretty close to real, keyboards to play on. We divide the group up with the other Sister missionary and it works pretty well. They seem very excited and appreciative to have the opportunity to learn.
Wednesday evening we went back to the Center for a Web-i-nar with the Stake employment specialists. This is the quarterly meeting where they come into the Center, if they would like, rather than participate from home. Of course some are quite a distance away, Oklahoma, Roswell, New Mexico etc etc. so they don’t make the drive but they can participate, ask questions, make comments etc.
On our P-day we went to Mount Vernon, it is in east Texas and it’s so beautiful out there. It’s called the Piney Woods area. Lots of trees and green, green, green! More open country, farms, ranches and fewer cities. Very nice! We visited the Audi Murphy/Cotton Museum. We went with the Morell’s so Charlie drove. Jack was so excited not to have to drive for once. I’m afraid all the help I give him driving is from the ‘back seat.’
On Friday Julie P. had a Youth Conference to do out in Gilmer, which is in East Texas. So I got to see this beautiful part of the country 2 days in a row. As busy as we have been she didn’t want to leave the Center short handed, but I didn’t want her to have to make that drive and do all the work by herself. So we decided I could go with her and Elder Nelson stayed and helped at the Center. We had an enjoyable trip, it was nice to have the time visiting as we traveled along. The Youth Conference went well, there were about 95 kids that participated and they all seemed to have an enjoyable learning experience. They were a little short on adult help so it kept us busy filling-in in spots as needed.
Today, Sunday, we went out to the Denton Stake and visited 3 different wards. We first went to the Justin Ward. The building is actually in Fort Worth. There are two other wards that meet there, one is part of the Colleyville Stake and the other is from the Hurst Stake. It seemed very unusual to us to have 3 different wards meeting in the same building from 3 different Stakes. After that 8:30 Sacrament mtg we then went up to Denton and caught the last 2 hours of the block with a ward there and we were able to visit with some of the people in the meeting block. It was a good day and nice to greet the Bishops and visit with the Ward Employment Specialists and meet and visit with some of the ward members. We also ran into some of the people who come into the Center and with whom we’ve worked with there.
This is going to be a short letter today. If you have time we love to hear how you are doing and how things are going at home.
Our love, Mom & Dad, Grandpa & Grandma

Hello! Sounds like you are keeping busy. Just wanted to share my parents' blog address if you are interested. It is www.bobandbarbjones.blogspot.com
They leave at 4:30am to the airport from the MTC so I am sure they are nervous. I bet you know the feeling.
Keep up the good work!
