End of the week events

This young man, Scott has been out of work now for 7 months. He is a high end accountant working with funds and exchange values. He has tried so hard to do everything right. He has a wife and 4 children. I work with him teaching the networking class on Tuesdays. Today it finally came together with a new position in Las Vegas with a slot machine company. I have never been so happy for anyone in my life. He had created a variety of resumes and dossiers and cover letters. He had volunteered his time at the center. This is the Manager and her associate manager hiding behind her. They were just as excited! This employment is thing is hard to describe the emotions that it put the candidate through while job seeking!

A volunteer came in this morning and it turned out to be a very familiar face. Our next door neighbor Timmy McCauley. He and his wife are here in Dallas attending chiropractic school. She also works for a Law Firm. How wonderful to see the great young man. Brother Thomas and Grandpa Loren should be very proud of this young feller!
So there is another Nevada licence plate among the endless sea of the Lone Star plates.

We set a time to get together and visit the temple and have dinner. Shucks, I think I cried. We reminisced about going to Scout camp in Flagstaff and Kolob. I was the home teacher in his home for many years until the ward was split. He was a student aid for me in 2001. Oh the days gone by. .
